J-Hawks Fall to Huntley in a Close Contest

Joliet J-Hawks football fought hard, but ultimately ended up with the loss against Huntley Friday night.

After a scoreless first quarter, junior Jake Cook tried to get momentum going with an interception, but J-Hawks weren't able to convert. Joliet found success holding off the two point conversion attempt, after Huntley scored a touchdown late in the second quarter.

Red Devils tried to keep momentum going with another touchdown and successful two point conversion in the 3rd quarter, but J-Hawks responded soon after with a rushing touchdown from junior Jake Cook and a successful PAT from Juhnke.

Huntley opened the 4th quarter with their first passing touchdown of the evening and another successful two point conversion. J-Hawks responded with a touchdown on a pass from Juhnke to sophomore Porter Koerper. Joliet was able to hold the Red Devils, but was not able to put another score on the board, ending the game at 22-14.

J-Hawks will travel to Boulder to face Jefferson in the first round of the Class B 11 man playoffs, Saturday, Nov 2, at 1pm.
