Joliet showed that they mean business in the season opener at Wolf Point, shutting out the Wolves and putting on an offensive clinic.
Led by Senior Kaden Juhnke, the team cruised to a 45-0 victory. Juhnke contributed 258 passing yards, 33 rushing yards, 2 touchdowns, 3 PATs, and a team high 7 tackles. As a result of his outstanding performance, Juhnke has now found himself at number 2 on the list of Class B Season Offensive Leaders.
Junior Jake Cook also played a key role in the J-Hawks win, contributing on the offensive and defensive side, as well. He rushed for 69 yards and put up 70 receiving yards, placing him #5 on the Class B Season Receiving Leaders list. He scored 2 offensive touchdowns and returned an interception for a defensive touchdown, placing him #3 on the Class B Season Touchdown Leaders List.
Juhnke and Cook provided most of the points on the board, but new J-Hawk, Senior Colton Woodard, was the first to score for the J-Hawks on a 32 yard reception from Juhnke.
Junior Camden McQuillan contributed 6 tackles and 98 receiving yards as well, placing him at #2 on the Class B Season Receiving Leaders list.
Next the J-Hawks head to Naranche Stadium, in Butte, to take on Thompson Falls, at 6pm, Friday, September 6.
