Many have asked if this website will be a smear campaign on the school. In no way is that my intention. It seems that Joliet is growing rapidly and moving towards a time where enough is going on in our little town that we all need to be informed. It often gets left out of news coming from Red Lodge or Laurel. I’m not saying anything negative about either of those news publications, a choice has to be made when space is limited and it is the reality that both of those towns have a bigger population.
I do intend to report on the happenings at the school, this includes school board meetings, sporting events and anything else of interest. The school is the heart of Joliet and the town cares about its current state as well as its future. Many are concerned about the direction the Board and administration are leading the school at the moment. Unfortunately, reporting this may seem negative to some. The ultimate goal is an open and honest discussion where all sides are heard. My apologies in advance if something is said on this blog that some readers do not like. In order to grow, we must face discomfort. All I ask is that people remain civil.
I will make every attempt to be informed on events and news in town, but please feel free to reach out to me if there is something you think needs to be covered. My email is trockholdstene@jolietobserver.com, or you can call or text 406-702-6698.
Looking forward to a wonderful, collaborative future!
